You are allowed to want more!

A letter for the one who has been scared to want big things from God

Dear Becoming One,

Can I give you permission to stop apologizing for the things God Himself placed inside you?

The desire. The hunger. The longing to become. The dream that keeps returning every time you lay it down.

For some reason, we've been taught that wanting more must mean we're proud. That dreaming big must mean we're ambitious in the wrong way. That asking God for influence somehow competes with humility.

But that's not the humility Scripture describes.

So let me say this as plainly as I can: Desire is not poison. When surrendered to God, it is a gift. A holy invitation. A reminder that heaven often plants the hunger before it reveals the harvest.

To become, you have to desire. Desire more of God. Desire a deeper secret place. Desire a life that reflects Christ so clearly that people encounter Him through you. Desire wisdom, holiness, courage, obedience. Desire to be trusted with influence, not so your name becomes great, but so His glory becomes unmistakable.

Don't be afraid of holy hunger. Steward it.

Somewhere along the way, many of us confused humility with hiding. We thought shrinking was holiness. We thought invisibility was maturity. We thought playing small protected us from pride.

But humility has never meant pretending to be less than God is making you. Humility is simply this: "Lord, everything You've placed in me belongs to You. Develop it. Refine it. Use it. And keep my heart close to Yours."

Humility doesn't deny the gift. It surrenders the gift back to the Giver.

You're the child of the Creator of heaven and earth. The One who speaks light into darkness. The One who makes roads in the wilderness. The One who brings water from dry places.

So why would He be intimidated by the very dreams He planted in you? He isn't. He's inviting you to trust Him with them.

Dream. Desire. Build. Obey. Not independently. With Him.

Your assignment isn't to force open doors. It's to become the kind of person who can faithfully steward the doors He opens.

So don't shrink to stay comfortable. Don't apologize for taking up the space God Himself made for you. Don't hide the light He placed within you.

Shine. Not so people will admire you, but so they'll encounter Him.

And remember this: The God who calls you is also the God who keeps you. The God who gives the assignment also supplies the grace. The God who plants the desire is faithful to shape it, purify it, and fulfill His purpose through it.

You don't have to become someone else. You simply have to become fully surrendered.

So burn. Not with ambition, but with devotion. Not with self-promotion, but with holy obedience. Not for applause, but for His glory.

And as you stay yielded, don't be afraid to shine. The world has enough people building platforms. It is desperately waiting for sons and daughters who carry His presence.

Be one of them.

With full permission to burn,

Your sister in the firelight ⭐️,
